This is pretty recent(like a week from today), but yoursighost.com is closing down.     You could always make your own site host... (maybe...) Probably at a GOOD company, (No geocities, They suck, Angelfire possibly, Haven't actually seen a page "exceed its allocated bandwidth transfer" or whatever) Or, Get someone else to host your sig/avatar for you... (Like me, i need a host for the sig i just made, Using part of a screenshot of 1 of the aliens... still need a host for it) Of course, You could always search "pic host" or some similar thing on a search engine like yahoo.com... If not, Oh well, No more custom sigs, Big deal, What else is new? (Ok, So it is a big deal for some, Just not for me... I couldn't care less whether my sig gets hosted or not...)
    Yheres always attaching a pic to a post and using it that way... Don't know if the moderators will feel the same way  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> ... Oh well, At least i tried to help.

    Uh... I think <a href="http://www.boomspeed.com" target="_blank">boomspeed.com</a> let you use remote loading (you only get 1mb of space, but that's more than enough for a sig and avatar).
