I'll have to read this report. Is it a yearly thing or what?
Its also hard to believe Canada is still in 3rd, with that Jean Cretien guy screwing everything up, he's a complete idiot. But nevertheless, Canada r good <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I think Canada was #1 a few years back, but I'm not sure.
Norway was first last year too, but Canada was first the year before that, if I'm not mistaken.
It should be noted that the top xx countries have barely different sum of HDI-index at all.
Yes, this is a yearly report.
I think most of us can be happy to live in countries that have rankings with at most 2 numbers and have a internet-connection...
Silly Norwegians, we let you have the top spot this year, but next year, look out! We will be back, and we will win!
Not that it is a competition, but that would be cool, all the countries of the world competing in the "Globalympics". For the first part of the year, all the nations compete socially, economically, and some other words I can't think of at the moment. Then, at the end of the year, we have a thermonuclear battle royale between the top 2 contenders, with the victor being awarded a small trophy with their choice of either a hockey player or a golfer on top.
