In answer to your question, your clock doesn't have a year hand on.
Now, if only we could make a clock program with that pic...
you could always just make a realworld clock out of it. with the HL2 logo a clear peice of plastic with the "2" not there/translucent so you could see the number behind it.
or you could just go with the HL2 logo as the base with the HL logo rotating... it would get all jumbly as time passes though.
Take off one of the arrows to use for the minutes, that way the lambda sign won't get all messy. Then allow the weird shape holding the two to rotate over the hour numbers as the hour hand, turning the white numbers black as it passes over them. Maybe for the chime you can even have some HL sound effects, like a headcrab of funny quotes like the scientist saying "hmm...I seem to be seriously injured" LOL. Ok thanks!
Leave out the "buy a new..." though imo
