The Day The Music Died

It dies with me
I really like the NS ambient tracks. Number 5 really reminds me of Syndicate Wars, and that sort of dark cyberpunk atmosphere is definately the type of mood I want to play in. However, whenever I die, the music will stop. Why is this? If there's no way to fix it, is there a way (a console command, perhaps) to force it to restart? What use is the random number of seconds dealie in Advanced Options? I've messed around with it, but it doesn't seem to help.

Anyone know?

I haven't had the music cut out on me (although I have deleted the new music added with 2.0 since it sounded so synthetic next to Jeremy Soule's wonderful work, which I've been enjoying since Total Annihilation)...

...but I HAVE had a number of cases where my sound has very suddenly and INSTANTLY stopped. Completely. To the point where I have to reboot and then restart NS to get it back.

This happens to me too. I think most people just don't notice. I didn't notice until after I read this post.

    They should fix that.

I thought it was supposed to die. I guess it is a bug?

You can bind it then. The "M" key isn't bound by default, so you could just type "bind m nexttrack" in the console(without quotes), and you can start the music just by pressing M.

Hmm, i DID notice that the music didn't last long

I guess it happens to everyone but no-one notices. I don't really want the music 5+ minutes into the game though, at that point i'm trying to listen for skulks.
