Marine Strategy Thread

<div class="IPBDescription">Post your strategies</div> I created this post for the purpose of sharing your 2.0x marine strategies. Post strategies large or small that you feel will help other commanders.

I'm starting with a small technique that I just started using. It seems pretty effective.

Category: Opening Move
Players: Assumed to be 6 or more per team

Listen for and locate the enemy hive.

Split the team into three groups. Have a small group guard base. Send one group to the area furthest away from the enemy hive to capture resources.

Send the third group (Typically the largest group) to destroy the aliens starting resource node. If possible, locate additionally alien resource nodes and destroy them. Don't get too bogged down at a single point. If an area is too heavily guarded, attack somewhere else to catch the aliens off guard.

    Yes it is. I should have been more clear. I'm looking for small concise strategies to be placed all in one thread.

    Hmm a very general strategy I use is to get the base setup with ip/obs/armoury/tf/1turret, split the team up into two squads, and send them on opposite sides of the map, capping res as they go (usually lose a squad). Start electrifying them all once you have 3 or 4 nodes, then group ALL the marines together and attack something important, like the double res node or a hive (scan ahead to make sure the area is takable), and throw in some shotties. Now you can start throwing down a tfac + turrets wherever you just conquered... etc
