    Your idea seems to work. But what would be stopping the Skulks and stuffs from eating them? its not like they took orders from the hive (referring to actual NS gameplay) But, it would be cool:

    Marines vs. Marines vs. Kharaa vs. Khraa/Different Species

    4 team deathmatch or "standard" NS play.

    What I find strange about Seph Kimara's idea is that we'd have humans working with Kharaa, whereas (sp?) the second group would be facing that giant force plus another alien race/group.

    Whats cool is that the rines are workin with the Kharaa, but what about the other team?

    Well that's the thing. The kharaa aliens aren't spawned unless there's a direct threat against the bacterium (check the manual under nano gridlock, and the hive, kharaa section) I don't believe it's documented what happens when the bacterium infects a human, but taking complete control over the now host) body could be a plausible possibility. Since the "hive" already has things it can use to drive out the intruders, it has no need to create its own lifeforms to do the same task. Once the intruder is dealt with, the hive can just make the marines it has control of starve to death.

    I guess you've never played AvP- In AvP the aliens can run on walls much like the Skulks can and they use a melee attack just like the Skulks. This is why the Skulks are a total rip-off of them. It's not just because they have more legs. It's because they are functionally identical. (besides the Skulk's extra abilities)

    Speaking of AvP they should make the camera turn in NS when you're on a wall so running on walls and ceilings is easier like in AvP. Right now it's kinda awkward.

    There is no gurantees it would be like this. I'd think marines would be able to take down Marine buildings good with a GL. A GL has more range(and bounces) than a bilebomb. Even if it was like this, what is regular NS like now? Hive defenses too good?     I'm not sure if Marine v Marine maps would be that good, don't get me wrong it would certainly be interesting but it'd be terrible telling one team from the other for one thing and for another in many ways it wouldn't really 'fit' in with some of the other aspects of the game, natural selection shouldn't be between one species really and two identical teams battling each other is less interesting than two different ones with different pro's and con's. I suppose giving one lot of marines slightly differnt stuff (eg HA for one Team) to the other might make thing's interesting but would need a bigger tech tree to make that much difference.

    How about a completely new team instead? AvP has been mentioned, and it worked there quite well, as did adding the Brits to DoD. Think about it, you could add a whole new species into the equation, Cyborgs or something.. But make them different to the existing teams, or somewhere in the middle maybe ?     What do you expect from about 5 minutes monkeying around with the hue and saturation?

    Believe me, I didn't really want the colours to look like that, although the blue does look kinda good, I wanted the red to be darker, and more red, like the red guys out of Halo. But when your just doing something for a joke and your bored...neh.
