    If the lighting is excellent then all the official maps have krud lighting. There is basically no lighting, the outside area is just glowing with small pieces green and red, its far too open and to be honest, does look like krud. The architechture is basic it looks like it was just ripped from an early HL Deathmatch map.

    The area after that has appalling lighting, one blue light facing upwards which just splashes onto the ceiling, and then you got a green texture light which spreads out all over the place and makes the area dull and dark. Not to mention all the flat walls on this map.

    just remember the original ns maps didn't have a lot of contrast either.

    I like the latest pic, but make sure you keep the rain and bring back the barbed wire at the top

    Anyways heres some quick tests I did with the fog colour. Brown and blue.

    Currently, darkness benefit Marines more than Aliens, what with MT, flashlights and ranged weapons.

    i think it's unanimous. blue is by far the better choice. the brown looked ok, but the moment i saw blue i said "oh that's much better"... with conviction. so use blue.

    Quick little update on that WIP room, I've added some cover (pipes) and added some VIS blockers succesfully lowering the r_speeds in one area by 400. (they were at 1004 w_poly before I added them, for some reason a room across the map was being rendered). I also added a curve to the bridge, making it more asthetically pleasing.

    The walls are looking neat.. but you need more variation then just pipes everywhere... Try to get some more colors around the walls too. The cieling and floor need more detail.. Exspecially in the long stretch areas... I can only see by these pics you really love to do pipes... I would like to see more than just pipes for detail.
