Game Ends Without A Proper Reason

Quite a few times when I played, the game has just ended in the middle of the action. It said "Team one/two won". This one time, our team had relocated to a hive, captured few res nodes and just got HA and HMG. I didn't even see the possibility that we could lose. Then, without a warning, the game ended. Aliens won.
Some people said it was because of uneven teams, but that makes no sense. We could have beaten the aliens though they had a few players more than we did. Or we could have waited for more players to join.

I mean, it makes no sense, that the game would just end like that. There should be at least a voting system, that would ask "Do you want to end the round due to uneven teams?". Ofcourse if uneven teams cause this problem...

it IS b/c of uneven teams

this dates back to early 1.0x where fair teams were an Alien concept (ie only aliens thought it was a good idea). Team stacking was running rampant, and then once that was fixxed people would simply leave the game if they were board/not winning thus making the game horibly unfair and not fun. So if one team is (IBELIEVE) at like 1/4 the str of the other team then the game ends.

There have been alot of grumblings about it recently
IT seems to hapen more often after 2.0, probasbly due to newb influx, and I am serious about this (not in a deragetory way) but all of the ones I have seen have generaly after a comment of "this mod sux I am going back to CS/DoD", so yah
