It's Objectives That Count

<div class="IPBDescription">Choosing your first chamber/ play style</div> Everyone is talking about which chamber is better, no chamber is better. It's better to think of the first chamber dropped as a means to get the second hive rather than as an end all be all.

So lets list the ways to get the second hive..

1] Eat lots of marines to earn res to build second hive.
2] Build resources towers around the map.

Now each of those can be achieved differently.

You can get a Defence Chamber, that will make you an armoured killing machine, and you can aggressively attack the marine base, eating marines and earning lots of resources.

Build Sensory, so you can gorge safely and invisibly as you progressively secure parts of the map and the resource towers.

Movement, allows faster movement across the map to collect resources.

No chamber is better than the other because ideally you can get more than one chamber, the first choice of chamber depends on how your team want to play. So if you have a team that is good offensively, you may opt for Defence, get carapace, go on a killing spree, get the resources to gorge build the hive and the second chamber upgrade.

If you have a team that is not so cooperative, it might be better to get sensory chambers on different parts of the map, because if you're a gorge and you can't rely on your teammates to defend you, at least you have cloaking to keep your safe.

Any choice is good, they both get resources at about the same rate, if you can get the resources to build a second hive and chamber, then it really doesn't matter what your first choice chamber is, because once you have two hives, it's usually easy to get the third hive providing you defend what you have.
