I cumulated the marines and aliens win and the final stats are...

Aliens win ratio: 1.99 (2x or TWICE) <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I tried to search a server where the marines were winning over the aliens, but nothing was found.

    The way I see it is

    Aliens: Since 1.04 all that they really have to now understand is that its ok to have more that one gorge and res towers have become more important

    Marines: Since 1.04 they have had to find new tactics for almost every old way of doing things, then the comm has to lear where to place obs and when to electrify Tf/Rt's. They also have to live without Jp's to take down hives

    It is a bigger learning curve for marines therefor will take a little bit longer to get used to and remember NS has only been out for what a week and a bit? Give it time

    Well Said. I totally agree. Give it some time and the marines will win more and more however I do not think, without any changes to 2.0 (which is already happening in the form of 2.01a,b,c), that marines will win more than aliens.

    Well where i play it's pretty much a 50:50 ratio. You'll see the teams become more balanced when players become used to 2.0, just like they did in 1.0.

    You do have to consider that in many games, the comm is either bad or there simply is no comm in the first minutes. Against competent commanders on pub servers, aliens have serious problems.

    Marines are also trying new tactics. In one game we were (as marines) in our base while aliens owned most of the resources, but hadn't lamed up the map yet. Rather than the usual turret farm to prolong the game by an hour, the comm gave everyone shotguns as a last chance move. We moved into maintenance, put some turrets and a phase there, blasted the defences and the hive. then we got heavy armour, and the "turret snake" system started: Walk from hive to hive, through res nozzle locations, putting turret factories, sentry guns, and nozzles at regular intervals. Preferably so that every turret farm is at least partially covered by the next one. Well, just went from hive to hive like that, no real resistance. Minor losses, mostly to Onos, but even those went down without too much trouble.

    Marines have to use a lot more teamwork to get the job done now, thats why their losing so often. No one is using teamwork on marines, and aliens takes a small, minimum amount of teamwork. Give it a couple weeks.

    Yeah, this is true. Some marines have simply not learned to break the bad habits of 1.04.

    I still see marines trying to spawn camp aliens <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> It's quite hilarious when a 1 hive onos comes in and swats the minor annoyance now...
