Bar Fighting Round X
<div class="IPBDescription">Yarrr, there be a brawl afoot!</div> I believed I had seen my fair share of fights at a bar. 2 Idiots getting ticked off at one another and they'll just go at it and security will jump in and sort it out... how wrong I was.
The night was proceeding as well as could be expect. 3 of the 4 bar staff were on and we were getting swamped. I was forced on a break at about 8:30 (Me and another bartender were going to have 15min breaks at around 11:30 when it was quiet) so I enjoyed 30 minutes of silence reading the latest issue of Rolling Stone. I clocked back on and proceeded upstairs at 9pm.
I couldn't tell you what time the fight started... all I know it was sometime after 10. I couldn't tell you HOW the fight started as I was behind the bar pouring a few schooners of beer. All I know is once the fight started it was all hands on deck.
Right in front of the bar 2 morons decided to go at it. They pushed everyone back, took up a boxing pose (Go you hardarses, go) and slogged at each other. Unfortunately they decided to run into several other... 'intoxicated customers' and all hell broke loose. People started punching other people... I dunno WTH was happening. First thing I remember doing is after witnessing a women sitting near the fireplace get knocked over was rushing over before some part of her or her clothing caught on fire... after that god knows... I was helping out security... then I was on the ground getting kicked in the chest... then I managed to get up and slog that **** in the face and the stomach a few times... At around this time I managed to recieve a blow to my head, which had popped open and was now bleeding slowly down my face.
Slowly security managed to gain the upper hand and we started pushing them out of the main area, out the front door (Which involved dragging more people into the fight). I think around this time the manager did an emergency shut-down of the bar; this involves hitting the emergency lock-down button which locks the front door and locks the cash-registers. I saw this guy unconcious on the ground, so I hand over one of the main perpetrators to Mongo and tell the manager to ring the ambo's (Ambulance) I went back to check on the guy, biker, ****. This fool is going to be P-I-S-S-E-D off when he wakes up... Now the fight has moved to the front door where security is forcing them out to the front one by one. They've called me over and in-between getting hit and the face and pushing me out the door they tell me to close the door behind them. Sensible move.
As the door is half an inch from closing I hear "GET OUT OF THE F****** WAY" yelled at no-one in particular. One of the people in the fight's ethnic friends got wind of the situation and were now storming out to 'sort of the situation'. So they've come barging through, SLAMMED the door open on me, I got stuck between the doorway and little window-sill we have (Thank christ it wasn't all brick or I'd probably have a broken nose and be unconcious at this point) and all I felt was the door on my back and the solid metal handle dig deep into my left shoulder blade. A few kindly partons on their way into the bar helped me out and managed to help me shut the door before anyone else came through. That was me done. I had taken a few punches to the head, a couple of kicks to my chest, god knows where-else, and now I had this door slammed into me; I was shagged. So I just sat down and watched the rest of the fight.
Security got taken from behind by the ethnic blokes and Ethan (security) was on the ground getting kicked all over. Too bad for us once a fight hits the street we gotta play nice and not hit anyone, so all security could do was get hit and pull guys off and break it up. Cops pulled up a few minutes later and got it under control (After much swearing and more punching). I think about 6 guys in all got arrested.
So anyways... after that, the bar was closed. People were angry (Like we even cared) I then had to drive myself up to the Hospital for some stitches (Not the SMARTEST move with what could have been a head concussion, then a 2 hour wait and not an explanation...), the managers called me back, police were getting statements from all the bar-staff and security, they wanted to know if I wanted to lay any charges against any particular individual, it would have been nice if I could REMEMBER 'any particular individual' but as it stood I couldn't... so a few lucky **** got off from me... I'm sure security got a few of em though...
After it was all said and done, I dragged myself home at around 1-ish. Indignant, sober, and all bruised up... I didn't have the heart to wake my mother and get her worred as she had to wake up very early to go out. So I sat on IRC bleeding my heart out, then I turned my attention to a large bottle of Vodka and drunk myself stupid for a bit.
Now I woke up with a mild hang-over, had some food, a bit of the hair of the dog and then I wrote this out... I gotta go back to that hell hole in little over an hours time. Thank CHRIST it's a day shift.

there was a bit of a kick off in spoonies last night too... (J.D Weatherspoons, most peeps in uk have one near)
and my one has like no bouncers.. cos it is usually quiet...
a buss full of friggin americans... around 30 + they were being gobby like sh!te but we let em get on with it... ill stick to my corner..i mean i only went out for one drink... i was due on ^nut^ lol

Also found out the fight was started because one guy had was squashing his way past the crowd and just bumped some poor slob who bumped another... then those 2 went at it. Morons. Complete and utter F****** morons....
Ethan, the bouncer, came into work tonight with a fractured wrist... poor ethan ;_;
Lastly, this was quite easily the biggest fight Camden has probably seen for many many many a long year. You just get to talking with the old blokes during the day, lots of interesting tales =D~

Depends on how much it is worth it to break up the fight with less injuries on your side
I.e water everywhere, many broken stools or whatever, and some people who weren't in the fight will get pwned
