Now what about a private res circle for every marine, a parallel one to the general res pool. For every kill a marine gets 1-3 goes to the general res pool, but the marine also get 2 points for his private res pool. (kinda like the exp project Voogru had running)
Now if a marine manages to get 5 kills (10 points), he gets a popup, a choice. Choice 1 is BackPack.
If he choices Backpack, the next time he dies (you can only get it when you spawn), he will spawn with his cool BackPack. He will be able to do nothing with it, untill he gets 5 more kills (10 more points). Then he will get a popup again. He can chose between:
1) Turret
2) Scanner (makes cloaked Aliens Glow, has a smaller radius than the obs)
3) NightGoggles (if he turns this on, he can see cloaked aliens and buildings easier (still hard to see, but easier))
If he choses Turret or Scanner he gets an autohelp window (msay), saying that to place the object he has to type construct in console when he is standing at the spot he wants to place it. It also advises to "bind x construct".
It is a kind of exp system, but only within the single game you are in. It resets to zero every time a game starts over again. Maybe a marine should also get 1 point for building a object the commander drops. (if multiple marines build something, only the one who was first building should get a point)
Maybe the backpack should also include something like automaticly have a welder, spawn with 100 spare ammo for lmg and 20 spare ammo for hg (so you don't have to get some ammo).
There should be more choices in the first popup (next to the BackPack option). For instance StealthMarine, Medic and AmmunitionDude. You get a little bonus with the first choice, but have to get more kills to use it more. For instance a Medic would be able to heal someone at +1 points a tick (no max), if he upgrades he will be able to do +2 points a tick or do "+1 armour and +1 health" a tick, another option could be parasite removal. StealthMarine gets 30% cloak when you first chose it, then you get a choice between 60% cloak or Night Goggles, maybe finally a chose like Silenced Weaponry (his guns make no sound when shooting).
I could think up a similar system for the aliens,

Sorry to sound a bit harsh but the number of complicated, ridiculous ideas that gets posted before even a week has passed of the new version is ludicrous. You've spent too much time thinking this up and not enough time learning to play the new game IMO.
