Holla

Currently the mini-map gets a little confusing, cluttered at is were, so I'd like to request a modification of the current sprites. Rather than have the actual buildings show up on the mini-map, would somebody please be so kind as to replace the buildings with letters of the alphabet?

Marine Buildings
CC = Command Console
A = Armory
TF = Turret Factory
T = Turret
P = Phase Gate
PL = Proto-lab
AL = Arms-lab
O = Observatory

Kharaa Chambers
H = Hive
R = Resource Chamber
O = Offense Chamber
D = Defense Chamber
M = Movement Chamber
S = Sensory chamber

I would sincerly apprecate anybody willing to do this ^_^

Thanks in advance =D

    you forgot:

    IP: infantry portal
    ST: siege turret

    that's it i think <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I believe the sprites for the buildings on the mini-map are randomly rotated, so letters might be a bit confusing.

    I would do it for you but I have to do without my own computer for three days, and by then someone else would easily have it done, if someone is willing to try.

    The rotation is based on the orientation of the object in the world, it's not random.

    i think he mans that if ur a comm and u drop a structure, u cant decide its orientation, so it might come out at an angle or upside down

    letters dont make much sense because of rotation.
    You need clear symbols that are rotation-symetric or at mirrored.

    By using brightness , size , contrast and transparency changings i made SC not look like a DC and Oni not look like gorges here:

    the minimap looks best in 1024*768er resolution in general (sizes).
