<div class="IPBDescription">Or LMG, whatever tickles your pickle.</div> <a href='http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid73/p00cf1b5ef50027f4200da7d88263c3ed/fb7b0ca3.jpg.orig.jpg' target='_blank'>omg! Clicky clicky!</a>

It doesnt have an eject port because, um, why would we be using bullets with cases in the future? Caseless ammo rocks the socks off of what we use now <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

And excuse the crappy image. My scanner's on the fritz <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

(Last note! If clicking doesnt work, drag/drop to address bar. Imagestation likes to frustrate!)

    even a caseless rifle needs a ejection port to remove a faulty round.. or to unload the weapon...
  • SilentKnightSilentKnight Join Date: 2003-08-04 Member: 18907Members
    Well, let's just say that if you get a dud or by some bizarre reason need to unload the gun <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->, you just field-strip that sucker - which is easy, because the gun is modular and it's wielders are trained perfectly... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Either that or the rounds never fail? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> I think caseless have some pretty good reliability. But since it's still possible, let's just keep pretending that field-stripping a modular firearm is a better solution than adding an ejection port.

    OOOORRRR...

    You cant see the ejection port. It's on the other side <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> That's actually the most realistic thing to say, since just about every gun in the world's built as such...you dont really want to put ejecting shells across your line of sight...or have them flying into your face... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Is that a shotgun butt you've drawn in there? I don't know a lot about guns, but it looks a lot like the one on the Benelli M4 Super 90.

    I did the concept off the top of my head, without any references...so if it <i>does</i> look like a real gun, it's by accident <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And the M4 Super 90 has a different sort of butt, but it <b>is</b> somewhat similar. <a href='http://securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/2000/2079.htm' target='_blank'>Click here to see!</a>

    think you could make a top/side view?
  • SilentKnightSilentKnight Join Date: 2003-08-04 Member: 18907Members
    Top view? Use your imagination.

    And side view? Um...that <i>is</i> a side view <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I ment front view, a simple mistake and you probably could have figured out what I ment on your own.

    As for using my imagination, it's your baby- I don't know what was going through your head when you drew it, and a side view is not always sufficient to get the model "just so". Especially since my first reaction to many of the lines drawn is "WTH is that?". In some cases it's fine though, anyways I was just asking. Your modelling it anyway so I won't bother trying

    Pffft...it took me a minute to draw. I scribble hundreds of these things a day. I wont mind if someone 'screws up' just one <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    oh... btw.. ive designed a small bullpup assault rifle concept with the same tilted magazine configuration, with a build in single shot nade launcher and nice ergonomics similar to the f2000 for poseidon arms <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
    maybe i can post a pic of it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I liked the image and the model itself. It is very creative and original, but perhaps I could suggest something? Perhaps a strap, since I don't know why, but the look of the weapon strikes me as a cross between the MP-5 PDW and a normal MP-5. And they always look so secksy with a strap.
    ...
    An example of an ideal strap would be the <a href='http://csnation.counter-strike.net/content/sotd.php?id=843' target='_blank'>AK-47 by Endorphin for Counter-Strike</a>. If you have model viewer, download the model and look at it. It looks quite nice. I would love it if the strap could be like that.
    ...
    Oh, a and perhaps iron sights of some sort would be purdy too...<!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. I will go shut up now.
    ...
    But seriously, consider the strap idea. Think it will do your model some good.
