Basicly did you think processing sieging was fair (since RTs are as important as hives was now)? If you do I won't argue with you. Thank you for your time. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    You TOTALLY missed my point. It's fair because it's EASILY countered, processing was not. Imagine doing processing with 2 locations, and most likely 3 siege turrets, plus res for kills... And also note that most res siege spots do not themselves have res (some do), making it even harder. You also have to organize it quickly (along the lines of a double res relocation in speed and difficulty). You're basically saying, if they're using sieges, it's not fair.

    I siege the double res... Is that fair? Why/why not? Is it really different? Yes, the gain is different, but, in truth, with 2 res towers and rfk, you should be able to go onos anyways. The tactic is fair because it's balanced, UNLIKE processing.

A game is supposed to be fun, was 2hld an effective tactic in 1.04? Yes. Was it fun? Hell no! <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Apparently you object to marines using sentry turrets, or, God forbid, siege turrets. 2 hive lockdown was a problem because aliens couldn't do ANYTHING... Res lockdowns are different. First, they're harder on the marines, generally, as most res siege spots don't give res. Second, aliens with 2 hives and rfk can still evolve, put up hives, etc... And, most importantly, if marines want to win, they HAVE to lock SOMETHING down. You can't fly around the map with jetpacks and wipe the map with every hive... You have to defend something... Defend base, for example. The fact that they're defending an offensive position is equivalent to sieging the hive... And if you object to that, NS ain't your game.

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> I highly doubt the existence of a "fun" strategy since most if not all rely on following orders and getting killed.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Tech rush and shotty rush would probably be "fun". Both involve a lot of moving, a lot of shooting, and very little building.

    I'll concede that a tech/shotty rush is fun, but only until the Onos start barreling in, take out the rambos, then rush the rest.

    Sadly an all too common occurrence <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You can win tech rushes... It's what I use when teams are stacked numerically but I have a solid group of 'rines... Move in, shut 'em down, and just rack up the res while the skulks desperately try to kill my uber marines. Once I got full upgrades, I drop a bunch of shotties, and my l3/l3 marines walk right through them... A few die to fades, but, eh.

    Now, the problem with the tech rush is, the slightest slip up, or a decent alien player, and we're talking gg. That and a failed tech rush will often lead to an ejection followed by four gls dropped and a second armory, to allow for nade spam/prolonged games. I hate those people.

    "d00d, gls are teh fun" as someone sits on the armoury and spams.

    ANOTHER all too common occurrence. Still, such people never win the match from that point, so I can feel all smug when I skulk bomb them, mwahahaha.
