1.0 To 2.0 Model Conversion

<div class="IPBDescription">13 models need converting</div> Hi, I'm in charge of the models section at www.thehivemind.org, and I would like someone to convert all of the models we have to NS 2.0 (animations plus anything else that needs converting).

Any artists that have models at the site already are welcome to send updated models to jabbathehunt@thehivemind.org (I also except any submitted work that falls within certain standards (ie. > 1 person wants to download it)). Any artists that don't want their models updated can email me aswell, I can either replace the download with your updated version or just leave the NS 1.0 model there.

Anyway I don't expect every artist to want to update their models, so I need someone who can decompile the models, add in all the extra stuff and recompile them.

    I thought that all weap anims are the same except the gl. But i might be wrong.

    Weapons anims maybe but some extra anims are needed for player models. TBH I need someone that knows what they are doing to do this job, I have done very little model editing expect the odd tutorial to get the basic gist of it.

    The marines' walk and run animations are unchanged.

    It's your lucky day, I'm converting all the models, I have currently 23 models converted, but sadly, I couldnt be able to convert the models with a different bones, like the Ultralisk and so.

    I hope that one gets converted by the authors, but those models with the original bones are being converted and I'll be very happy to send them to you <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Reporting in: I'm having some problems converting some models, first of all, the new v_ model of the lerk gives me an error when I try to decompile it, now the v_ model of the fade is just one with the claws and the flower thingy, so I'm not going to convert the v_ models of the fade nor the Lerk <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Also I had some problems converting Skulk models, since now the skulk has 4 bone controlers.
    So far, models that I can't convert are:

    StarCraft Zerg Ultralisk
    ChibiSkulk
    A|ien Runner
    StarCraft Zerg Zergling
    Acid Spitter & Drone Claws
    Hydralisk Claws
    Lerk Teeth
    And possibly not the Hydralisk

    So if the authors of those models could help, since the only thing I can do is convert models that have the same skeleton <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    All Zerg models are NS 2.0 compatibale. I know, I justed played/tested them out. I've seen them all, and they work. The only one that doesn't work, and will most likely have to be made anew or merged together in Milkshape somehow, is the fade acid rocket cannon and the hydralisk claws.

    Only talking about Zerg models. I'm not so sure about the Ultralisk though. I didn't see people play through enough animations. I saw that Stomp does the old Paralysis one, and that devour does also? Not so sure about devour, and not very certain about the the others. OTHER THAN THAT, EVERY OTHER SC MODEL WORKS NICELY. EVEN THE DRONE AND ITS ARMS.

    Marine models also look like they should work fine. I don't see any real change to their animations. Like any animations that were added. Do correct me if I'm wrong. Haven't seen any fabled 3rd person reload animations.

    All I want is the pig gorge to be converted... That was my favorite model. I will love you for ever if this can be done.
