Edit: Just checked GameSpy. If it's accurate (some say it is, some say it ain't), then yes, NS has at the time of posting more players than TFC. I think it will grow soon anyway.

NatSel flipflops between with TFC for 3rd and 4th place in # of players, depending on the time of day. My guess is NS is more popular in some countries (and thus some timezones), TFC is popular in others.

In terms of FilePlanet: NS2.0 client is the 2nd most popular half-life file in the past few days, and the 8th most popular overall in the past few days (#7 is the CS 1.5 full retail patch).

I recall someone (MonsE?) saying that NS is a good deal more popular in the states than in europe, which could be an explanation for the fluctuating player counts. How 'bout asia?

It's actually starting to even out between Europe and the US (although many EU-NS clans still rely on US servers), while Asia is laregly NS free as of yet. We have quite some players down under, however <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Well 9/10 servers i join are dutch, sweidsh, german, french which annoys me bescause i don't understand them but shows it's popular in Europe. * Anyone know any U.K servers with not alot of new people on it ??*
Nice to see NS doing so well, though the sudden avalanche of new people is nice, it's also annoying as they seem to rambo alot and once one guy kept asking for a sniper rifle <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'> so in the end we gave him a welder saying it was the most powerfullest weapon and he went of charging to a onos. Plus it would help if they talked and listened to you.
