explanation ... your grip is to small.. it cant even hold the mag... the ejecting port is to far behind the chamber..( = your barell would be to long, and it will reach over your magazine, and block the ammo from there) this makes pulling out the empty shell from the chamber and the reload impossible..
wow... thanks sheena . it makes it look alot better.
I assume Lt.S.Owen is not a local around these areas
actually, sheena.. a lotta guns have the ejection port pretty far back. maybe not *that* far back, but it doesn't have to be in line, diagonally with the mag well. pictures will follow...
i know... just wanted to show him a classical example , on stencil 54 or 55a (doh..thats TM insider stuff )you got one where the ejection port is on half way over the chamber... the stancils using a similar colorcode ive used here... but way more complex ... showing nearly every kind of pistolshapes that are possible with the regular slidermechanisms.... in this case i was depending on the size and angle of the magazine, lenght of the barell , size of the ejection port, and the way the slider have to get back to pull out a whole round (imaginary faulty round) out of the chamber.. taking these factors together givin a relative accurate way to say how far the ejection port have to be in front of the chamber.. (on the easiest system)
in most cases the barell isnt stationary... its fixed horizontal, but its able to swing vertical on its end. when the slider goes back ,the end with the chamber goes a few millimeters down... but that does not change anything in this case...
pistol barells do not retract .. only recoilloaders do that.. machineguns...large caliber anti material rifles.. automatic cannons and stuff
you can see on this pic how the barell moves.. the chamber side gets pushed down by the slider
this way the shovel shaped tongue comes closer the the magazine..(receiving position) the tongue will guide the round into the chamber when the slider moves forward
i tihink you can still remember sids first attempt on a realistic pistol design.. good example of evolution.. from the initial design to the practical stuff
very nice... like yours owen.. but with the same lil glitches
i have on this following Pages explained how a pistol work (the glock in this case, bcause it got very simple mechanics and clean design...)
