Sound Delay When Playing On Lan Server

When I play NS v2.0 on a server on my LAN, when I fire my weapon, bite or do anything else that requires me making a noise, the sound plays like 2-3 seconds AFTER i do the action.

    That is odd...

Have you already uninstalled and reinstalled NS 2.0? Can you follow our forum FAQ and post all required information please? It's why your post has sat here unanswered for days.

I get this problem in NS and DoD, whenever the serves is in the least bit laggy. I kind of have to live with it and try to play on fast servers.

go into the audio options and make sure ANY form of surround sound is off. I've had the same problem. It's probably because of the high cpu load used when determining where sound came from and what speaker(s) the sounds go to, and how high/low...etc.

Surround sound would only recomended for sound cards that support it via hardware...otherwise you need a really fast system....hope this helps.
