<div class="IPBDescription">Black replacement for the stomach image</div> After being devoured (and having trouble not gagging each time) for the 54353th time,
I decided something had to be done. That disgusting stomach (or WHATEVER it is) image
HAD to go! So I created this replacement sprite. When installed correctly, it will give you
a black screen, instead of the nightmarish image that went with the 2.0 distro, when
being digested.
<b><a href='http://home.no.net/spamking/stuff/digesting.zip' target='_blank'>DOWNLOAD IT HERE</a></b>
I have tested it, and I *know* that it works on my system, but it might not on other
systems. I am also unsure as to how the mp_consistency 1 command might deal with
this sprite, so any information on it, helpful thoughts, ideas, or whatever are greatly
appreciated.
Remember to back up your original file, and post a reply in this topic (or contact me) if
you encounter any problems with the sprite.

-----NS 2.0 DIGESTING.SPR REPLACEMENT SPRITE BY FANATIC-----
Released: 02.08.03 (August 2nd, 2003)
Contents of ZIP-file:
* digesting.spr
* digesting.txt
---
Info:
This is a replacement for the extremely nasty NS 2.0 "digesting screen". It will replace
the gutwrenching (Fear my puns) stomach picture (or WHATEVER it is), with a black screen.
---
Install guide:
1. Unzip files (Well duh, since you're reading this, you've most likely already done it).
2. Make a backup of digesting.spr (You'll find it in the sprites folder located in you NS
directory (probably NS/sprites/)).
3. Copy the digesting.spr you unzipped in step 1, and paste it in the sprites folder
located in your NS directory (probably NS/sprites/). Press "Yes", or "Ok", or "Whatever"
if it asks you if you want to overwrite the original file.
4. Play NS. Being devoured still sucks, but now you don't have to go to the toilet every
time some Onos decides he wants a snack.
---
Other stuff:
Many thanks to the NS-team for creating such a GREAT game (no hard feelings about me badmouthing
your artwork, eh?).

i love the original, makes me feel like im at med school all over.
Although I exaggerated a bit in the topic, <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> I don't really like it at all.
Especially since I have a nasty habit of eating while playing...
Seen it, stared at it, bought the tshirt.
Anyway, would be *really* nice if someone could test it on a server
with mp_consistency 1, and post the results here.
You wouldn't be the only one to see certain similarities..<!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm thinking I'll replace it with a more soothing image when I get the chance..something by my favourite painter perhaps..

EDIT; To add meat to my post.
Personally, I think it's too bright, I say make a darker one.(I might do it myself actually.)
Oh wait [telling myself not to ask stupid questions]
but for the record i am kinda curious, but i'd never use it
There seems to be a problem with this. If you've seen the digesting.spr ingame, you know
that it kind of "moves around" a little, which makes it even more disgusting, by the way. This
"movement", however, isn't saved in the digesting.spr, which means it'll keep blobbing around
even if you replace the digesting.spr with your own file (and believe me when I say that the
blobbing looks ridiculous on other images).
I'm not sure how this works, but my best guess would be that it's coded in somewhere, which
pretty much means that us mere mortals can do little to alter it. It isn't altogheter bad, though,
because you won't see the blobbing when you use a completely black screen (Use mine, use
mine! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ).
Would be nice if a dev (or anyone else who might know anything about this) could clarify a bit
on this issue, since my "best guess" is still a very dodgy guess (I really have NO experience
what so ever with these things).
Maybe he swalloed a flashlight...
as a part of the kharaa-TSA relations program, the marines were getting extremly bored while waiting to be digested, so all onos are requred by law to have a 60 watt bulb installed in their stomachs. there is also a large selection of reading material too

also id like to see you STOP an onos that really wants to devour you <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
vets get devoured too you know!
And get kickbanned from my server to start with...
I've tried every program, and I've searched for editing programs, but all I can find are viewers that are buggy....
