Whining Sissies, Shut Up.

Quit yapping, its a great game... ENJOY.
The new version has been out for little more than a day now, and already I'm seeing prissy post about how this and that is "overpowered", the jetpack has been nerfed (well boh friggin hoo hoo, good riddance JP-rush) and the base is filling with onos OR a giant turretfarm five minutes into the game.

2.0 is much better than 1.04 was, both for aliens and marines, the problem with 1.04 was not the gameplay, I loved it. But really the aliens did not really have many posibilities open to them. Getting DC and a Hive as fast as possible was the only realistic chance you had of winning. It lead to predictable matches, which while still entretaining, were pretty predetermined within the first 5 minutes.

Now all 3 chambers are open to the aliens, turrets, which were useless in 1,04 are actually worth your while, and new gameplay elements have been added expanding the tactical implications of teamwork even further.

So some of the new elements may cause you to loose a few games, until you learn to deal with them, even if you were the 1.04 Über-Jetpacker.

Instead of learning, and maybe create a new and groundbreaking strategy of your own, lets **** and moan like little children how unfair it is that people have spent their time on trying to improve the game.

Good work, dev. team.

You realise this post is just as worthless as the ones you are bitching about right?

The only real problem with the 1.0x jetpack is that it came way too early. Now not only does it come too late to have any realistic impact on the gameplay, it's also completely worthless even if you disregard its cost.

I don't appreciate how an entertaining and valuable piece of gameplay was nerfed into oblivion solely to please masses of whining noobs.

How are we going to play ns_missilecommand now!?!?!?

no seriously, i don't really care about the jetpack nerf... they still seem to do their job, but I don't really know the specifics because I haven't used one nor do I know how much they cost.

In my opinion Jetpacks should be replaced with a set of armor similar to Heavy armor, but not as durable. Maybe at level zero armor it would have 95 armor, then 115, then 135 and finally 155. This "medium armor" would have something like a jetpack (kind of like jump jets like in mechwarrior) but with less juice than they have now and the same amount of thrust. This would give marines mobility that is better than a heavy armor but not so good that they can float around a hive and shoot it down solo. At the same time it would give them slightly better durability.

that's just what I would like to see

In my opinion, play the game first, and make suggestions later in the correct forum.
