umm.......... yeah 2.0 stuff....
Okay there are plenty new stuff coming on 2.0, and the stuff just got more cooler.

I only know some stuff on 2.0 updates, but post up 2.0 stuff i dont have so we can help out the newbies that need to know a bit more stuff on ns.

New recource models, rebalancing recource (i dont even know this) , makes recources stuff ezier and more intense as its a lil faster.

New visuals , which includes skulks that rotate to align walls, making them look as if they really are climbing on walls and stuff, sentry turrets puff smoke after firing (like a real turret), alien structures, when killed, blow up into a burst of slime (rather than blowing up like a marine structure), and more.

New sounds, adds a better feeling into natural-selection (or you can just say more realistic)

New alien upgrades, such as aliens detecting human pheronmones (can't spell that word, and detecting pheronmones might be like an alien motion tracker), be silenced while using abilities such as attacks, and maybe more.

New alien abilities, and for the onos, it is stomp and devour (stomp may replace paralysis attack, as stomp MIGHT have a radius and stun multiple marines for a shorter time. Also, Devour allows the onos to eat a marine whole, but i guess you only can have 1 marine in the onos stomach at a time, so don't be devouring-happy)

New structure stuff for aliens, such as an alien structure that cloaks nearby aliens and structures (probably sensory chambers) , and maybe more.

4 new maps, Such as a lost colony ship, or a "re-conilized" mine shaft.

A new commanding mode makes commanding a heck a lot ezier (they've made commanding mode like starcraft!!!!!) new commanding mode stuff includes Hotgroups, squad support, a "select all" button, the ability to locate marines in need of ammo, health, orders, and a re-bindable hotkey support.

Full support for Tournament mode, handicapping, anti cheat stuff and some more.

A big server improvement means that fuller or more players on a server with less CPU usage.

A first person view when spectating or dead (WOOHOO !!! FINALLY, A FIRST PERSON VIEW ON NS!!!)

And finally, the release date is July 31, 2003.

So that means i posted this in july 28, so 2 more days, and on 29, 1 MORE DAY!!!!

I don't mean to sound rude but, this really won't help newbies out much. When you first play NS, you're equally confused, let it be Ns 1.0 or 2.0. So just let them get a feeling and then they'll already be in the thick of battle, not wasting time on the forums like us.

I don't mean to sound rude but, why are you making a guide for newbies when just about no one has played the new version yet? lol.

If you played 1.04 for more than a week I doubt that you will have any trouble with 2.0

Its different but not completely alien.

Think of a series of books. Sure the second book in the series is a bit different than the first, but its not as if you would not know what is going on.

    My comments:

    1. what you are doing is called a changelog, which can still be found in the general forum.
    2. what the rest said
