<div class="IPBDescription">need some advice for next version</div> Hello, im working on a new version of ns_napo(screenshots are in the screenshot thread)
Now, i added 2 weldables, a vent and changed some details, and some more things. well.. its better i think.
Now, i would like to know if the weldable i added is good or not. Im talking about the weldable on the left of the marine start. I added it because the marines could easily rush the aliens if they were in the water hive. for the aliens to go around the weldable i added a vent.
Now, what do you think, is it now to hard for the marines to win or not? actualy i think ns_napo is pretty well balanced, but this "could" change it, or make it better... and more interesting.

Well, tell me what you think, if you have something else to say, say it, everything that could be helpfull to make the new version even better is good :-)

We play napo a lot on our server. I have very few complaints about it. Maybe a few more vents and maybe some more interactivity with doors and switches and such, but is an awesome map gameplay wise.

when its so awesome, why nobody is playing it? ok, sometimes i see a server, but its rare.

    Doors... perhaps..if i have a good idea.
vents... dont you think there are enough? well.. perhaps when i find i nice place for a vent i will add one or two

Ok, this will be brutal honestly. It is awesome gameplay, but its missing a really qualitity texture feel. The settings feel kinda generic in some areas.

I know I am probally just being a pain here with words like "feel" and such. But its the truth. Caged, Hera, Nothing...they all convey not just a style the was unquie, but also a feel for where you where at. Try a few different texture layouts and use some entities and sprites to give more life to the map maybe.

It just needs to breath to feel perfect. And hey, 38.114.3.95, drop by anytime and let me know, and you will see the great joy your awesome map brings us.

Its just not well know enough yet. Hec, we just started playing lost, with only a week before it becomes an offical map.

Further more, your map is 10x as good as mine, which has overflow errors and insane r_speeds at places. I am working on a new version now, and once 2.0 comes out I will rework the majority of it to be better and more lifelike.

thx, i like brutal honesty :-)
if you say the gameplay is good, wich means, you know the map and so, do you think this new weldable would change too much in the gameplay?

asraniel the big *shakes his head*s were the texture choice and the architecture that was little plain at some spots but genious at other areas. But best thing was the lightning. although it could need more colored lights (computer panels, emergency lights, lighted buttons) the spots look more scary than normal lightning.
