Sorry About This, But This Is One Weird Bug.

I couldn't post in Bug Report, so I'll just post here...

I made a demo of this bug. This is no ordinary bug; it is like 50 bugs in one .

The demo is at http://members.lycos.co.uk/optional3335/NS/ . Just click on "Buggy.zip".

I tried to reconnect to the server but nothing happened. I had to quit HL for it to go away. Also, I was alien, and it was showing friendly aliens with the Marine model!

I know this isn't the place to post it, but I didn't know where else to.

At this point, posting NS 1.04 bugs isn't going to get you much attention from us, as it will be going away forever in 72 hours. Thanks for the dilligence though.

monsE, does it matter if it's a map bug? I don't know what bug it is, as I'm at work and not able to view the demo, but if it's the ns_bast bug, I think it's a map bug, not a 1.04 bug. I posted about 15 screenshots (800x600, 27k is the largest I think) in the general forum (someone else started the thread) of skulks with pistols and lmgs, gorges running around with lmgs floating above them, marines with alien huds, aliens with RR models, gordon freeman models building the o chambers....... it was whacky stuff. I'm thinking it's either a map issue or an inherent HL issue, and if it hasn't been specifically worked out, it could cause some trouble in 2.0 as well. I don't know, just my thoughts.

All maps were worked on for 2.0, so posting *any* kind of NS 1.0.4 bug is pretty much moot at this point. Just hang on for a few more days then we'll reopen the bug forums and everyone can run around making the team feel bad once again...

Look at the demo. It is not a map bug. It is a bad bug! The graphics are all messed up. When you evolve, the graphics that go over the screen appear at random times after I evolved. It is really messed up. So many more bugs that just that, you should look at the demo!

well then, until 2.0, enjoy my "ns on an acid trip" screenies . The first time, I thought I might have accidentally gotten high (though I've never done drugs), then I recreated the problem numerous times. I think it's pretty runny. First time the pint-sized la marines with hmgs were running as fast as a skulk with celerity, mowing down hives. It was pretty whacky

The bug forums are closed because we are not looking at bugs. Pointless. Thanks.
