<div class="IPBDescription">easter eggs??</div> well in ns 1.0 there are many sprites
i got the sprite opener thingy and i opened like all of them
in various sprites their were upgrades but some of those upgrades i had never seen before
like the nuke upgrade and the phase gate upgrade...
and the health upgrade... were these put into ns as easter eggs?? and also in controls u can set a button to nuke deoes this do anything in game???

    They are relics left over from pre-1.0. There was once a nuke, stimpack, and more. They have no use in NS.

    Those are all old features that were taken out of the game...well at least the nuke is, I can't really understand the rest of what you said.

    just go find sprview and open up some sprites the folder should be techtree than u shall see what im talking about.....whats stimpack?? would be nice if someone could make an amx plugin that reuses all these in multiplayer

    Um... maybe because they were removed for a reason?
    The nuke was, because the marines would sit in their base, then drop nukes at the alien hives, the aliens couldnt kill them fast enough so they lost..
    Isn't this kinda like gorge sucking, it was removed because it didn't work out..

    Stimpack basically gave marines a movement boost, therefore negating the speed limitations imposed by carrying heavy weapons or wearing heavy armor. A stimpacked stock marine was practically faster than a skulk (may have actually been faster, in fact).

    The stimpacks would have been a little bit *too* Starcraft (you can't be *too* Starcraft imho... but still <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and they didn't really suit to NS imo

    Thats not really something they can put back in easily with a plugin..
    Do you operate your own server?
    If not, who do you think is gonna put something that totally unbalances the game on their server?
    The nuke will do that
    The stimpacks will too.
    You think it is some good thing.. if it was it would still be in the game.
    How can I make you understand that it was <b>removed for a reason</b>

    well, the one easter egg i'm aware of (not counting ambience and things exploding randomly) involves a certain room in ns_hera that everyone should know by now...

    wow strange i did not want the plugin perm on my server i just wanted to experience the nuke or some of those other upgrades in my ss anyway i do not know of this secret room...

    phase gate upgrade probably means faster respawning

    then there's stimpack, nuke

    I know of no others

    if you check the list of server commands in the server ops forum you will see that you can give yourself those upgrades that aren't in v1.0

    I think only the stimpack works tho
