Only played one map but its difficult to know when you've been hit, the idle animation looks like you're having a seizure and that moon base map needs some lights so you can actually see anything.

Yeah, terrible lag. Server crashes. The pants show who's on what team, but the difference is way too small. AND it's hard to know when you're being hit.
Mad fun and low-lag once you toss the dark maps - I even got a log to show the wacky socialisation it inspires... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Ok, Commando's revised having played more monkeystrike feedback:
Difficult to know when you're taking damage Idle animation looks like you're having a seizure Every map has areas where it is too dark, I have my gamma at a realistic level so dark parts really are dark for me so it's damn difficult to see the dark skinned monkeys in the dark rooms. This should be a mod beaming with colour and light. The skunk goes meow and they last far, far, far, too long. How the heck do you tell who is on your team? Ok, there is coloured pants but it's pretty hard to see them, especially in the dark. Should popup a player name in their team colour when you look at them. The radio voices... well... Why is everything so laggy? Some maps are a lot worse than others! The chainsaw is big pants The coconut launcher is rubbish, is it even possible to kill anyone with that? Finding your way around the maps and getting to fruit is fairly random, could use a minimap? Scoring seemingly random. Easy spawn camping on most maps.

I think it's a bit easy, after 5 mins I was soaring to the top of the scoreboard with the strawberry machinegun and grapefruit shotgun, those are the easiest weapons in the game.

Lolfighter, I was talking about during Deathmatch. I swear, I tried every class, and by the end of the game, everyone was 1 class, just cause it was the only one that could do anything.
wow i gotta try that <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Quaunaut: Might you remember Ns version 1.0? Wasn't the most balanced thing in the world was it? It takes time to balance things, and no first release is ever perfect.
Also, don't ever try to deter others from trying a mod, just cause you don't like it doesn't mean others won't.
The Cocolauncher is definatly a skill weapon, It might help if you knew that when you right click after you shoot a coconut, it manually explodes it.
Team identification is definatly a biggie, we're most likley going to implement a DoD esque icon that floats over teammate's heads.
Model shaking and other various little anomolies are minor code problems, they'll be fixed soon.
Overall Quaun, your attitude is definatly not a very good one. You might not want to jump instantly to conclusions after barley touching the thing once, especially because we worked 2 years to bring you this. Its courteous to at least let other people try it.
Other than that, we've recieved lots of positive comments on other forums and from different groups of people as well. I think its just a mod geared to a different crowd than the usual NS player. MonkeyStrike doesnt try to have nearly as much depth as NS has, because it's gameplay is focused on arcadey action. Anyways, if you haven't played MonkeyStrike yet, give it a try <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.
hahah i love that theme add more sounds like that! and make the helicoper fly like the jetpack in ns... looking up while flying makes it hard to aim :S

Just goes to show that you need to play a mod for more than 10 minutes to see its potential. *cough cough* SBV *cough*.

Servers seem to crash once they switch to ctb_circus (tried a few servers) so never got to try other modes.
Keep it up - good to see an arcade style mod! And i'll definately try it out more, and try and get it running on our clan server in australia.
Worth trying everyone <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
