It sort of depends what u like, i mean if the mag is down, it might not obstruct the screen depending on the mag size, but it wont look stylish. I personaly like the mag up cause it looks stylish (well for me that is), but that ll have a down side of obstructing some screen space.

How yours is set up now, the top magazine feeds to the bottom barrel, while the function of the top barrel remains unchanged, and still feeds from the bottom magazine. You get a cross-interference effect as pictured below.
I'd say stick with Owen's for now, his seems the "cleanest".
