Interesting Halflife Pic

<div class="IPBDescription">Old Creatures Influence the New Game?</div> Friend of mine and I were on messenger the other day, sending eachother random links for various video games. Of course we ran into some Halflife pics, but one in particular intrigued me very much:

The creature on the left looks very similar to one of the Ant Lions from Halflife 2. The front claws are there, and if we could press the forehead down, it could be the shell on the back of the ant lion.

    I don't remember that from anywhere in the game.

    It was in the SDK, it never got finished, if i remember correctly, the one on the left is a Kingpin and the one on the right is a Mr. Friendly

    If you play some of the HLSP mods all these beasties make appearances, theres that scythe handed one on the left, the doglike thing on the right, that red panther chappy and that litle chumtoad dude comes in all sorts of forms.

    If you get yourself Half-Life Model Viewer and a pak file explorer, you can get a good look at al the unused aliens from HL. And they look nothing like ant lions <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    If you played USS Darkstar (HL MOD) you will see this creatures, with also some other creatures like a frog etc. But they are harmless, they will not attack you.

    The frog thing = suicidal bomb frog.

    Actually, that reminds me of a SWEET mod...supposed to be the sequel to HL...its A LOT of fun...plenty of times I got the bejeezus scared out of me.

    Its called Poke646, and in no way does it have anything to do with Pokemon, or Stitch from Lilo And Stitch, even though you know he'd be perfect for a HL mod.

    I was kinda wondering why I had never seen those in game. That would be pretty creepy to run into them. Any idea how many creatures were left out of the final version of Halflife?

    I'll have to try that sometime, get a good look at all the creepy crawlies that were left out.
