and NS radio
okay, i've been hearing a lot of this NS radio and learned how to get it. i dled winamp and all and i can get the station. but now that i've got the station, it constantly skips. i get about 5 seconds of talking and then it begins rebuffering or whatever. is there a way to turn the quality of the sound down or something so it's not so bad? i managed to listen to another station on the winamp website and it worked but the quality was terrible. i have 56k, and i don't really care about the quality, mainly i just wanted to hear that interview on the 30th. is there a way to fix this, or is there no hope?

i appologize for my newbiness...

thank you!

Someone told me that 3.0 doesn't work very well, and that the older versions are more reliable. Explains why mine sucks too.

I would highly recommend uninstalling 3.0, and running Winamp 2.91 instead, for a variety of reasons. This is one of them...

yeah, i had that problem too. Winamp 3 uses far too many resources for what is basicaly a pretty version of 2.91. They're stopping any work on 3.0 and starting on the next version apparantly. go for 2.91

yeah i just dled and installed 2.91 and i'm having the same problem. i dunno, maybe it's just my connection. or maybe i don't have it configured right? i dunno. if anyone can help me, please do. if not, i guess i'll just have to skip out on the interview....

We broadcast at 96k, so your 56k modem will be screaming in agony when you try to listen. We're working on getting a 40k stream up for dialup users at the moment.
