The Fastest Way to kill for a Expert
More or less, I call this the Grim-Reaper fade.

Why? Cause a Fade is black, and this makes him a lot more like one.

Combos: Carapace, Celerity, Cloaking.

Reason for Cara: Duh. More HP. Its like Adrenilene(which I know thats spelled wrong, no idea how), because you have more time to live, resulting in enough to to get the SAME amount of energy. Just as long as you know how to Fade right.

Celerity: This combined with Blink makes you near impossible to get long-ranged kill. You get on top of the enemy in at most 2 seconds(as long as you know blink)

Cloaking: Just cause.

Try it- you'd be surprised just how good this Fade tends to be. GREAT hit-and run, so really, its perfect for 2.0

    Hehe Why you mention 2.0?
I use this combo often in 1.04!
This is a close combat fade's best combo
Its excellent for those swipe kills. With celerity you dont get that much hit and cara makes you tough enough.
The problem with this config is that you can run out of energy quickly, even if you only swipe for some time, so you gotta watch out you have enough for that blink-away. Also a downside you cant fire much acid rockets. So I wouldnt recommend fighting more than 3-4 good marines alone with this.
If you re facing a single HA/HMG Marine you have also good chances, at best when he s realoading
If see more than one, you re in trouble. If you wanna suicide, go ahead, I would wait for some backup first...
It would be awesome to have 2 cara-celerity and 2 cara/regen-adrenaline fades for some nice team action

Eh, if they don't mt, I actually perfer to use silence, nothing like blinking right behind a marine unheard and swiping him to death for a loud WTH!

I almost always get cara+celerity Quaunaut. I used to favor adrenaline. then I realized how n00bish spamming acid rockets are, and started using my claws a lot more, and getting a lot more kills! And oh yeah, I LOVE the 1.04 blink. I kinda wish it'd still be in 2.0

I go with the cara/celerity combo often, the only irritating thing is setting yourself up for a *blink into base, swipe all marines to death and blink back out* move and you end up trying to blink all the 'rines to death

They really need to make the blink animation different to swipe.

I never realised Acid Spamming was "n00bish", I did however realise that rushing in and clawing will deal a lot more damage a lot quicker and is to be prefered if possible. I stick with Adren though as it allows me to blink out as well as claw indefinetely.

Yeh i used to find using cara celerity was a sick combo, but i have become wise in my fade usage. I have found adren to be much more powerful coz i used to use adren then i was told it was n00by to get kills with acid spam as no skill was involved. So i changed to celerity, twas no good... as i was a master of the blink losing the energy so fast was death to a fade.

I figure using adren is heaps better if u want swipe kills as u can wave around with **** abandon without hoping for enuff energy to blink out. Also extremely usefull if u need to acid spam. Blinking is my favourite move for hit and run and just general combat. Altho i'd say most of my fade deaths were due to blinking into everything, but u learn where to and where not to blink eventually.

Ah well blink'll be changed in the next version so lets hope tis better.

I always take adrenaline, not to spam acid rockets, but because I use blink so often.

I like using cara/adren/scent O' fear This is my close combat hunter killer combo. I use blink for moving and have fast weapon switch so i can blink and then swipe with next tap

I allso use Regen/Adren/cloak When I want to do sneaky hit and run terror attacks.

I tend to acid spam until back up arrives, getting a few cheap kills and pinning them all in. Cant do fade without adrenaline.

    guess I'm just a n00b

It's much easier to drop a HA\HMG with your claws if you've got celerity. You need speed to circle them.

I can't play adren Fade. I'm too used to the speed of Celerity and get killed. Actually, someone once asked me if I was using a speed hack, totally forgetting that Fades could sometimes have Celerity

I always go celerity/cara fade and I can take a hella lot more marines than my adrenaline-acid spamming counterparts. Once a celerity/cara fades gets in the middle of a crouded marine base, the marines are pretty much screwed. It's also always fun to fire one or two rockets into the marine base so they start screaming "RUSH THE FADE" and when they do you just own them with swipe

Hehe, for fun I kinda go adren/regen, not for the endless acid spamming, but cos I like to take the **** the must for it being eclipse or similarly open area (blink's such a fussy fecking thing in 1.4), adren to blink frequently for longer periods of time and regen to heal the stray bullets, then just have a laugh blinking all over base and not paying too much attention to marines just making them chase you and shoot alot, occasionally stoppping to swipe one silly... All I need now to make it a rofl moment is to figure out some way of double blink around corners and into small areas accurately, and find some damn use for blinking to the roof and letting drop, other than being damn funny =P

Oke, in a serious way, I have never tried celerirty much for a fade, heh I use blink to close the straight line distances in an instant anyway, circle strafing HA, well might be handy, never had too serious a problem without using it (can be touch and go depending on his aim and my dodging) and find the added adren for multi attacks much handier (acid blink slash slash, rather than blink slash slash slash) lol but i wun say anymore untill I try it for real

I usually acid spam from about 50 feet away (adrenaline-regen). First, close combat is a little bit difficult with 20fps (or less). Second, when they decide to rush you, they don't have much of a chance because you can back up and acid spam them while they chase you, then go around a corner and back up some more. If there is only one of them you go around that corner and pull out your claws, but if there are several then you keep running (assuming you are alone). I can't pull off close combat very well. I have pulled out my claws against marines when they had knives out, and even though I had regen and they had nothing, they still won often enough that it isn't worth it. Also, if there is umbra support, marines will have a hard time damaging you faster than regen heals you.
