Uhh..I'm no doctor but "sugar deficiency" or not, a cup of tea with 4 sugars with a bowl of FROSTED wheats would get anyone going in the morning. Why not try a Mountain Dew while you're at it?

Note - Remember to brush and floss, all that sugar = cavities

Hmm I have no idea what the exact name for this condition is, but alot of teen kids here get it.

You feel all pooped out, no energy, aren't able to atten school properly, or go to work, and you basically have to wait till it's all over. And it can be transmitted if you kissed a girl for instance ("eew" said the 20 year old nerd)

But anyways... visit a doctor? They are (usually) trained in the field of this stuff <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

See, here in the USA, we have another common term for kids that don't move well in the morning and always act sleepy - it's called "Lazy", sometimes with a hint of "Sleep Deprivation" (mainly because the lousy parents didn't teach them to go to bed at a decent time early enough in life)

Any kid that does act somewhat alert is immediately labeled as having ADD and is immediately placed on Ritalin.

I think you're talking about Mononucleosis. Commonly called just Mono. From what little I know about it, I don?t think this is it.

You might just be susceptible to low blood sugar. My brother is the same way, he gets really sluggish and quick to anger. Usually this means attacking me for something that I might or might not have deserved. Anyway, you could see a doctor on your next check up and talk to him about it. Though, if you get any of the warning signs for diabetes I?d look into that really quick.

    I have what you're describing.

It's called 'sugar allergy', also known as hypoglycemia. I flunked a year of school cause of it. I used to come home from school, go to bed, wake up the next morning. -> 18 hours of sleep.

It's the opposite of diabetes. With a diabetic, their pancreas doesn't work at all. If they take sugar, they have nothing to work it away, so they get peniciline(sp?) shots.

With me, and maybe with you as well, the pancreas works 'too' well. Soon as your body receives some sugar or hasn't had anything to eat, your pancreas starts working too hard, producing too much peniciline, pushing your blood sugar level down to the point where you feel like you're about to drop dead of sleep. It sounds and looks a lot like mono, but it isn't. What helps? Small meals. When you wake up, get a sandwich with ham or something like it, bit of toast, and if you do by any chance get a small or large dose of sugar, make SURE you eat something with slowly digesting carbohydrates, like brown bread and stuff like that.

Doctors told me it was all in my head and stuff like that, but hey it's not <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> It's really out there, and small meals and avoiding sugar helps a lot.
