Getting Paid For Your Opinions

Is this for real?
I keep getting adds in my bulk mail folder from these people. You go on and take surveys for marketing people or sit in discussion chats for focus groups. You get paid money to do it. This sounds understandable, marketing people want feedback fromt he consumer and so they are willing to pay you for your input. Like those surveys at the mall or whatever. You can take the surveys in your own time. You log in take them then submit them. You get a pay check at the end of the month mailed to you.

But You have to pay around $38 to sign up for it.

http://www.paidsurveysonline.com/index.php

Does this sound like anything I should pursue or something probably not as good as it sounds?
One one hand I know of several actualy companies that pay people for peoples thoughts. but since this is an internet based thing you can never be sure so yea...

Your thoughts please.

Ask yourself: Why would they charge $38 for a signup if they can afford to pay you, and you're going to get it back anyway?

There are such companies, but I would highly advise you not to participate. You're basically agreeing to drop a wide range of your privacy rights with little to no say into what will be done with them.

Lol im not oging to do it but to answer that question the $38 fee is for the site that runs everything. They are not the ones that pay you, the individual comapnies that you take the surveys for are the ones who pay you.

I'd like to see you charged of, say accidentically doing something and no lawyer would take you as a client because they know you are guilty

People who get your email without you giving it to them are generally not the type of people anyone would want to associate with. Now if you had personally given them your email address and were expecting a reply back then they could be genuine ^.^ Oh, and the starter fee is probably what give it away. Anything that costs over five bucks is definately a scam, most of the time things that cost under five smackeroos are too.

As long as there are people willing to answer telemarketer's surveys,
a pay survey is unlikely to exist.

However, there are studies and other such things sponsered by Universities and the government that are on the up and up. I did one here at PSU 2 years back. I rode a bicycle for 6 hours while they monitored my oxygen levels. Paid me $250

I like telemarketing surveys, playing with the surveyer's head is especially fun. You'd be amazed at the crap they'd do to get you to answer these questions. Course every now and then there's a spoilsport who hangs up. But where's the downside in that?

Say, "Okay, for every question on your survey you ask me, I get to ask you one about yourself in general." Yes oddly enough they agree to this, three out of five anyway. Well normally they introduce themselves so you know their name already and you can avoid that balarky. Move right on to "What's your sexual preference?" This is a two-for one, he/she says 'Heretosexual/bisexual whatever' you say "No no I mean what position." Anyway, you get the idea keep on that track only don't keep asking about things of that nature. Asking what their life dreams are is always nice. Often cut short on their part though.
