    I felt sorta sorry for you that nobody posted in your thread with droolable screenies, but you get 2 thumbs up on a cookie-worthy map.

    Keep it up! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Edit: No, it wasn't a joke on your currently being messed with pics, I saw the actual pics *gasp*!

    Heh, I should have remembered to re-size them FIRST <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Anyway, here's a shot of the corridoor outside the hive:

    And finally, the airlock with which access to the hive is gained:
    The textures are uber blurry in this shot, that has since been fixed.

    Nice architecture, although some details wouldn't hurt. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm trying to get the basics down, details will come in near the end, to avoid problems.

    i've not seen any other parts of this map. Only this one hive room. It's great texture work but its so boring looking. It really does need details and i hope you dont leave it too late because they will make this map alot better.

    Great start a few details and it should
    look sexy. keep the lighting,and maybe add a few different
    colours with the detail that your gonna add.
    keep it up!!!!!

    In that last pic I think you really need a new ceiling or floor texture. As it is if they're not the exact same one they're very very close. Either way it really doesn't look good. Also the last pic a continuation of the protruded strip on the door would be nice. Right now it looks kind of strange having a door meet the wall without any kind of jamb type thing in between.

    The hallway for the second pic is very sexy...although I think the monitors need to be toned down a bit. Maybe not so much in the light they put out, but just in their brightness. Unless that door does actually move you might want to cover it in infestation to explain it's non-operational state. I'm a big fan of alien gunk being piled up on the sides of walls, and I think it would help to break up the floor here.

    I've always liked this hive shot. (speaking about the first pic now) I think you could up the coolness of it by breaking part of the grated floor directly in front of the hive and dropping it down just a little. (4-6 unit height difference). That and some more infesting would make it look like the bacteria literally expanded faster than the area it was in could handle. Also I think a steam particle would make the pipe look better.

    Overall I like the shots you have here. They're a really good step towards some very nice finished mapping. All it needs is details and tweaks to force out the drool.

    Brush work and texture application is solid, but you need some more exciting architecture and lighting. Look for inspiration in movies and god knows what else. Remember to provide ample skulking space.
