Do I Have A Virus?

<div class="IPBDescription">What the hell is going on?</div> This is very strange. First off, hammer only seems to work if i install the new beta every time, and EACH TIME replacing a large file with a smaller file... despite the fact that I did that very same operation last time I tried to open hammer. Why does the filesize keep going up? Also, Half-Life itself only seems to work if I install the patch every time I want to play...
Do I have some kind of virus?
HELP ME!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, by "Not work" i mean "A box with 'Blahblah has encountered an error and has to close, send an error report...'

    What file?

    That does sound like some kind of virus.. go
    <a href='http://www.symantec.com/' target='_blank'>Here</a> there is a link on the bottom, it says Security Check.. click that.. then click GO then click Anti-Virus
    That should let you scan for virii online

    Hammer is a bit weird. Try and reinstall it, see if that helps. As for the HL problems, can you give us a bit more detail?
