You video should be able to handle it, my voodoo 3 here handles it, barely! As for cable, heck ya. My cable is tons (but I have no caps/limits). Some PT'ers are on 56K and they have no huge complaints either.
I heard talk a few months ago of the 120-140mb range, but it is hard to predict because of the amount of art, sounds, models and maps included and their respective file sizes.
One of our test servers (Flay's debug machine) runs on cable. It handles 10 players without too much latency. Don't forget that NS uses 100% client-side prediction where possible, just like Valve mods, so it should work acceptably well under low bandwidth connections with up to 12 players before lag gets bad.

I sure hope they got the software rendering fixed. I don't even have a video card on my laptop, and I'm not at my dad's house often enough to play on the desktop very much.
I have a Celeron 333 with 192 MB of RAM, a Hercules 3D Prophet 4000 PCI (###### motherboard, no AGP), and cable. Most mods run fine for me, with acceptable FPS and good latency. Should I be ok?
i dont know if my computer will be able to play this mod without a lot of lag, i have a pentium 3 449 mhz 320 mb of ram, and a vodoo 3. i dont know a lot about computer hardware so i dont know if this is any good..please help me.

What's a geforce 3 go for these days? I don't think my Geforce 2 MX is gonna handle it anymore. I recently upgraded my RAM from what I thought was super High: 128. I had an old OLD computer before that fried (staic electricity IS a hazard folks) but 128 is actually not alot these days. I have 384 now and its great, but still low compared to most standards.

In other words, yes, you will be fine.
My personal recommendation would be to get a GeForce 4 Ti4200 instead of a GeForce 3. The Ti 4200 is really cheap compared to other high end cards, and it runs nice. The GF3's have been discontinued.

Another word: Damn you ppl with cable! Damn you says the one and only Sono with a single ISDN with 64K
Has anyone mentioned around how many MB NS will be?
and your cable connection will prolly be NOT enough to run a decent server with +10 ppl.
How about a GeForce MX 4
300k as the internet connection
Klipsch THX 5.1 sound system
Athlon 900, soon to be Athlon XP 1800
256Mb Crucial DDR Ram
ECS K7S5A Mobo
Built on audio/LAN
And, a GF3 Ti200 clocked up past the Ti500 mark.
5.1 channel sound? Lucky #######.
if you can affort it get a Gf4 Ti
the MX is only good for it's Nview technology
(upto 16 displays at once)

150 meg download! Blast. I'ev got a 128k cable connection... but that'll still take me, what, 3 hours? I hope it's worth it (don't we all?).
My PC:
Pentium 3 450Mhz
nVidia Riva TNT2
128 Mb RAM
Cable modem
I'm hoping it'll run NS... if not, I'll have to run out to upgrade.

Then you'll most certainly be fixed. Period.
