<div class="IPBDescription">coil starts work on a comic book!</div> This comic book is based on a story written by some friends of mine, and centers on the escapades of a superhero group known as the "X-Monkeys." (The characters are all based on real-life people, members of www.swingmonkey.com - hence the name, X-Monkeys)
I've started doing character sketches for the main players; here are 4 of the 5 X-Monkeys:
Sparky (powers: flight and control of electricity):

Jeslett (powers: can grow to great size, but cannot become smaller than her actual size):

Lady J-ustice (powers: None defined, possibly just skilled in combat):

FoolsRun (powers: none. Skilled in combat):

FoolsRun's cape is colored in the last one because the opening scene of the comic book is an exchange between him and The Szarkattack, the 5th X-Monkey, about how ridiculous his cape looks:
S- I can't believe you're wearing a <i>cape</i>.
FR- I <i>like</i> my cape!
S- It looks stupid.
FR- <i>You</i> look stupid. A lot of very respectable superheros wear capes.
S- A lot of very respectable superheros didn't make their capes out of old bedsheets.
FR- Why are you so anti-cape all of a sudden?
S- I'm not anti-cape. I'm anti-you-in-a-cape. And I've felt this way for some time.
FR- I've only been wearing it for twenty minutes.

That's FoolsRun's writing; he's doing the script and I'm doing the art. And that's only the first half of the conversation. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I know it's hard to believe, but the dude with the big pants, curly hair, and cape ISN'T me. There's actually <a href='http://www.swingmonkey.com/html/modules.php?set_albumName=album27&id=aaf&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php' target='_blank'>another one</a> (though we've been accused of being the same person on more than one occasion).
I'll be appearing in the comic as "Colonel Coil," the X-Monkeys' contact in the US Government.
As it's written, the comic will be posted on www.swingmonkey.com ... I'll let you know when the first few pages are released.
