How About A New Forum Section?

<div class="IPBDescription">File section</div> well as the topic sugests, this would be a place for people to post info and download links for programs / untilities / addons they have made for NS, they need a home in the Natural Selection Creation section, along with the maps, art, models and fan fiction.

    The only thing i can see wrong with this.

    If you change a map in NS, NS will still work.
    If you change a model in NS, NS will still work.
    If you start playing around with the core workings of NS or running external programs, NS can go a bit awry.

    None of the scripts, metamods, applications can be classified as "safe" so having downloads to them on the official page is a big risk to take since any bugs, computers getting messed up and so on will come back to the NS team, who are unrelated to the whole thing.

    TBH the best place for this would be a sticky in the off topic forum so people could put their links their.

    You would also need some sort of disclaimer

    E.G the Ns team or anyone affiliated with it takes no responsibility for any harm caused by downloading/running the files in this forum thread.

    a sticky would just end up to long, it would take ages to read all the posts to find whats usefull, o wait thats a great idea.. buy the time you find your way back out 2.0 will be here! go sticky go

    Well, if the sticky had some clear rules, like coil's "post links to release threads <b>only</b> - no other comments" stickied official release thread in the models forum, it wouldn't get too long.

    HL scripts are safe. VBS scripts aren't <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    There's no file section because there's no demand. Remember also that these are forums, not a fansite. A website would be a more logical place to look for (or archive) files.
