My bet is on us, we got the maturity and intelligence to lead a GI secret op and infiltrate their base with our lmgs and m1 garands. hmm, how bout a 50 vs 50 MMPORG battle on a strip of land in space..

We have to infiltrate with our futuristic amphibious boats and they have to defend.

Or we could do a real life situation and see if we could kick their arse in a hand to hand combat with inflatable rubber bats.

Just saying this since most cs'rs are dummies and firearm OTF people are becoming like them.

Well, in anything resembling a real-life situation the ns and dod people would have the edge. How fast you can point and click a mouse has nothing to do with real life, while being able to think stategically does.

I concur, but the cs people have Mad OGC HAXORZ! No, but if we had a serious real life fight, I definately think we would have the edge, but it would be extremely tough fighitng 70 thousand people against a wee hmm lets see 15000? Yea, but we would still kick arse cause we got kickarse admins like nemisis zero and people to organize tactics and Liku to send signals on our electronic lazer watches. But fighting them in a game would be mad skillz.

I still think that forum debate would be interesting.

CS players can't respawn, we can. We can have umbra, jetpacks, medpacks, build bases, hiding on walls and biting etc. Not counting our wave reinforcements, tossing back grenades, destroying some walls and have snipers that are really hidden (prone)

CS players might aim well but they can't respawn before the end of the round, have to pay for their weaponry while starting with 800 bucks, thus actively losing the first (and only) round. I don't know firearms that much.

To put it short FA team would win a hell of alot of rounds they got nade guns as a starting item aswell as M16 with underbarrel nades, Aswell as long range Tank cannons and MGs.

But thats the thing.....CS are humans. By pure instinct, when they see that sexy gorge run by and chuckle, they wont think twice about chasing it, and cuddling with it, and talking baby talk to it. The gorges sexy body movments would win us the game!!!!!! YEEHAWWW

yea the firearms people would kick arse for a many a round, but think about it...

We have 5000 Heavy armor with HMG's 2000 welders 1000 Aliens, 200 ONOS, and then we can use the DOD people as front line defence. We'll have elite jetpackers maybe 500 and use them for recon.

I'd suggest that we send gorges to build D towers and skulks to detract mines from the fields.

If we used cloak and snuck up to the "seawall" OM@ we would rock!

Someone needs to impliment a saddle and some reins for the Onos that way we can ride on in and mow them down with pistols to weaken their pride. I love pistols... Why would you bother to ask this question on an NS forum? You want a real argument go to a neutral one. Anyway if we went up against CS players it'd be a 12v12 game, all NS would be alien. Because let's face it, they are unfamiliar with shooting things that don't walk upright and say "Hey son!"

This is a pointless thread, but lets make it have a point

So here is a new beggining to another ns thread.

It really bothers me to go to the cs offtopic and see how such ignorant stupidity is allowed to roam around. To my surprise this idiocy is spreading to other forums like the firearms OTF and such.

Has anyone else visited these forums and made the same observations as me?
I have really began to wonder why valve or the cs team allows this type of idiocy to rule, but I guess this is what a true OTF is.
Give it 5 years and it will develop to something like this.

I would say that the ns forums is by far one of the best gaming forums I have visited, because of the community.

SO NS OTF > CS AND FIREARMS OTF
so, lets talk about it eh?

You seriously expect a forum that idolizes and worships goatse to be anything resembling good?

To be fair though, the CSOTF wasn't always like that. It was a place where people actually discussed topics with some form of restraint and decorum. But that was THREE years ago.

I think the only reason the CSOTF hasn't gone the way of DoD's Random Nonsense (the actual name of their OTF) is because the denizens of the CSOTF are content to post simply to raise their postcount. They don't go around spamming other forums with whatever they please, they don't carry grudges despite the harrowing amounts of verbal abuse being dispensed in a moment's notice, and they certainly don't flame and bash each other enough to get controversial topics (or forums, for that matter) locked.

As far as forums go, the NS OTF is quite cordial and friendly. But to me there is a sort of uptightness and modesty here. Not too many people like to make themselves appear as more than just a name here.

I don't know what the Avatar's about, but the Sig's smashed, it'd be better if it wasn't, but I like it anyway. But I think the NS forums are more Mature, my friend recently asked for a Sig on the CS forums, and they sent him the Goatse.cx pic... lamers.
