2.0 Beta Demo's

Will we be able to view them?
After 2.0 is released I woudl really like to see some of the demo's from the scrims that took place during the beta testing to see the difference from one build to the next. Is there any way that this will be possible, perhaps with a model pack to download so we can see the features that have been removed or will the final release be so different that the demo's won't be compatible at all?

P.S. please don't post anything in here apart from yes/no if you actually know the answer or "that would be cool" if you think it would. I really cba reading through loads of "I dunno, probly not" or "What a stupid idea, LOL" If you are about to make a reply like this please just say nothing

I would not consider it likely. Flay isn't really concerned with supporting demos from beta builds; throughout playtest pre-1.0, demos would be rendered un-viewable by later patches (though not every patch had that effect). So chances are slim to none.

How about some in .avi/.mpeg format?

I mean, you have screenshots of old builds of ns in some places

What I really want, a little after 2.0 is released, is for you guys to release every single 1.1 and 2.0 beta to the public. I want to see what it was all like for you guys, even if hardly anyone would play them.
    How can it hurt?

I find this fascination with older builds quite fasinating - they were clearly flawed, else they wouldn't have been changed. Why would people want to play or watch a broken game?

sounds like a lot of bandwith and I doubt flay keeps the old code he modifies it everytime.

Why do people take tours of factories?? The same reason, to see how things they love got made... To feel like they have special knowledge about something that sucks time from them...

I would love AVI/MPG movies and would volunteer to encode them if someone wanted to fire them over to me...

Any NS site would be happy to host the bandwidth...
