Big wheel keep on turnin'
Follow up nifitiness to a previous posting, the MonsE 2nd Annual Game Watch List:
The official Soldner website was fallow for a bit, but they recently started updating again. They just added a new Developer Diary entry that has tons of progress info. Best quote is in regards to beta testing: ' "This sucks" doesn't help us as much as "The server selection is slow and leads to frustrating waiting times between matches" '. They also have word on all the new US jet planes. Shades of BF42, but macro-level. I wonder if their marketing guys have managed to convince them to change the game's name yet...
Speaking of which, Soldiers of Liberty took a name change and has become 'Freedom Fighters' (possibly due to Nemesis Zero's disdain of the old title, the dirty hippy). Bring on the commie killin'!
Morrowind meets Mad Max STALKER seems to be moving along nicely. They are having some interesting community contests (gg PR staff), as well as having posted a very complete interview recently that fills in a number of blanks on the game itself.
The folks at Prince of Persia got around to releasing some movies. You DEFINITELY need to see these, especially the 2nd one - phizat paddywack, give the dawg a bizzle. Other stuff too, check it.
Lionhead's gotten pretty quiet about The Movies. Dahm their veil of sekrats!
Overall, there appears to be some hunkering down as everyone swims in the wake of HL2's Battleship Missouri. Hopefully it's all for the best and we see more inventiveness than UT2004 and Battlefield: Secret Weapons in the coming months...

I have a new signature.
Edit: and Nem, I think these are the little heard of games that are gonna rock. If not, MonsE forgot Contract Jack.
Speaking of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I've actually participated in one of their contests, called the "Monster Ball Contest". The goal was to create a monster/creature that fits in the game and storyline and to describe it as good as possible. Monster Ball Contest

This game is really extremly undervalued, I can just hope it doesn't meet the same fate as MAFIA did (great game, but almost no buyers)...
And you're right about Söldner, MonsE. They really need to change that title, otherwise only we germans will buy it...
Ramses - nice work!
