Very Odd And Very Evil Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">Help!</div> Here's my problem - I can't climb up ladders. Everyone else can simply run into the bottom of a ladder and climb up it, but me? Oh no! When I run into the bottom of a ladder it's as though an invisible wall was placed just above my head and I can't move up. I have to detatch from the ladder and jump "above" this "invisible wall".
Anyone ever heard of this before? And more importantly, how can I fix it? Will 2.0 fix this for me?

These are just pieces of knowledge stored inside my hidious brain:

1. use the search function
2. it's called the ladder bug (surprisingly!)
3. try looking to the left or right, press the left or right (walk up the ladder sideways, and then turn around to walk up the ladder normally)
4. lag might cause this as well

Try to jump onto the ladder, some say the lower ladder texture is missing, hence nothing to climb, hence you can't go anywhere. Jump on it, or walk up the ladder sideways like I said.

As a rine it would be a problem, but just try what I said above, it should really work

The only time I still have this problem is with severe laggyness on the server side of things.

I've had this problem too, it's particulary annoying as a gorge trying to go through that vent from Aux gen to messhall on nancy.

Ive noticed this too, its fps related, when i have my max fps at 100 and i am running actually at 100 fps i have this problem too, i must jump on the ladder, but when i set fps_max to 50 or such lower number i can climb the ladder normally. Its a HL bug, some time ago (measured in years) when playing HL i noticed i often get stuck in elevators when they start/stop moving and it was fps related too.
