Anyway, this is what I am currently working on an dit i smy first model. I just redid the rip and stuff, so it is all wavy on the back, but Its to late and im to tired to fix it so to bad. I have worked on it and I am quite proud, it really isn tnear done, so I will take criticism.

P.S.- How do I found out the amount of polies in 3dsmax?

I suggest you go on google.com and search for pistol vendors. Download pictures of guns onto your hard drive, and when you make a model next time use them as reference. Oh and if you're starting out I suggest you just rip other people's models and just edit them til you get the hang of it. Then hopefully one day (for me it will never come) you will make your own beautiful model.... All the sudden I want to watch a European fashion show... wait that's not fashion! It's... sad..

He's talking about real firearms, not other models. He's just using references.

Using other peoples' models to learn how things are constructed = teh win. It's an excellent way to learn.

Im having a problem with the move tool in 3dsmax. Whenever I go to move something on the x-axis, I usually cant. I noticed that it changed my move tool"line" colors and stuff. Any help would be nice, thanks.
