Too Dark!

I was wondering if anyone can help me, my NS is TOO damn dark and i cant see a thing, it really spoils the game not being able to see a thing and the crappy flashlight doesnt help much! I have tried Powerstrip to brighteen my monitor up but NS just resets it!

Bind keys in powerstrip to change your gamma and contrast.

You have not given us any way to help you. Please post as much info about your PC and OS as you can (video card, monitor info, other hardware, OS version, etc.). Would you walk into a garage and tell your mechanic that your car does not work, and not let him know the make and model?

If you have an Nvidia card with the Detonator drivers you can change the brightness in the advanced display settings by going to color correction, on most versions buried in nView Display Mode -> Device Settings -> Color Correction or, if not, right on menu on the left (Color Correction). I have to do this too; make sure you have it apply the settings at restart.

If you don't have an Nvidia card then look around in the advanced display settings anyway, most drivers should put a brightness control in there.

in general:

1. get the newest drivers
2. adjust your gamma settings in the options menu in HL
3. turn up your screen's brightness
