I hate them. 90% of the games I join have at least 5 or 6 morons leaping around and screwing with their flashlights in the ready room humping the marine team portal in hopes they can get in. Gather up some courage and wander over to the alien team. I personally go random every time I find myself in the ready room, but it gets very frustrating when I might as well just run down the alien pathway. I dont have any problem with the Alien team, but I enjoy comming and being a marine just as much as being a skulk or fade, and would ideally like to split that time 50/50.

You can also find alien stackers on the more elitist servers , especially if one renowed player goes alien.
Stacking is generally pointless. I actually stay on the portal sometimes to annoy a bunch of stackers and see who's willing to stay the longest...
And your right about that "renound player" bit. If someone who is famous and/or known to be very good, decides to join aliens, suddenly everyone loves aliens. Otherwise it's time to stand around in the rr.
See this is why i have my "home" and "delete" keys bound to "join teamone" and "join teamtwo". That way those stackers won't get in the way of me getting on the team i feel like playing.

How do you a bind a key to jointeamone and jointeamtwo? Usually I just type jointeamone or jointeamtwo in the console followed by up enter up enter if I don't get in immidietly, I'm usually first on marines when I do this, but yeah... how do you bind home and end to that?
And yes, we're actually getting server traffic now, even with some custom maps <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I dont mind playing alien, but when every game for 2 weeks I end up as an alien, then I start to get annoyed.

When the admins are on it is a good server (that allows logos!) and for the most part people dont team stack. RR campers are booted most of the time.
A lot of the servers people mention here have a baseline ping of 100+ for me and therefor do not make it into my list. (Dial-up people I dont want to hear you complain about my filtering selections, I got cable years ago and I'm not going to play on some server that makes me feel like I'm back on the 9.6k modem)
To finish up: RANDOM TEAM RANDOM TEAM RANDOM TEAM RANDOM TEAM RANDOM TEAM that should be your only choice for NS.
I cant understand... if they think that just killing things that have no real chance to fight back is fun why they dont go play some single player game whit cheats on? And if they dont think its fun the why are they all stacking to same team?
So go to play on better server? There are no decent servers in finland. They have good games but only rarely. Normally its that same ****. in the old days i rememer peeps camping marines all the time and kharaa being the team you've got on if you were to slow. i thought: agh screw it, i'm gonna learn how to play kharaa, maybe there will be a time when kharaa and marines have even chances?i played kharaa for a long time(then kharaa were the hated team and a discussion about making marines a little weaker were a fight of 1 kharaa fan per 3 marines, now everyone finds kharaa da bomb' and they try to imitate that clanfight with the gorge-rush, indeed NS is aproaching bleak times), later i'd always take random team . all the time is got marines i could not resist saying: A MIRACLE, i got marines with random team.
auto teams are annoying i think. i normally wait 'till everyone joined teams and then join a team.
(the mere existence of the next lines will dumben all, i've warned you: someone shows me a picture of a marine base with clowns buzy building after 3 minutes since the round start, he asks me: what's wrong about this screenie? i reply: isn't it obvious, the marines aren't JP/HMG rushing)
They took it off (or will be taking it off in the next couple of days) because when people found out it was there, they'd just camp in the main part of the RR and keep an eye on the scoreboard to wait for a slot on the team they want. It was an annoying, unnecessary, and useless plugin.
