2.0 Babbler Metamod Request

I don't know if I am way out of line here, but there are still alot of people that like the babblers (for whatever reason, I am not argueing the fact that flayra decided to remove them or anything) and I was wondering if there was a modder who is up for the task of making babblers for 2.0

I believe voogru made a biogun once, so weapon creation should be possible?

    Weapon creation is very possible, just very hard.


    I could put babblers again in 2.0, but I see no point or need too. IMHO I never really liked the babblers.

    as for the "biogun" it was a very very lame grenade mod, the "biogun" was only on for like a week till I decided it was stupid and removed it.

    If it is possible to put Babblers in 2.0 by metamod plug-in, I want plug-in coders to make "Lerk Bite" metamod plug-in rather than Babblers.

    What's the best is "Aliens can switch weapons between v1.0 and v2.0".

    Gorg: Babbler<-->Bile Bomb
    Lerk: Bite<-->Primal Scream (slot order needs change)
    Fade: Bile bomb<-->Metabolize
    Onos: Paralyze<-->Stomp

    This sort if metamod will be much easier if the code for the babblers is still intact as a weapon in the NS 2.0 compile. However, my guess is that it will not be. Flayra strikes me as a guy with clean code and I think that he would remove the weapon code since babblers are no longer used.

    ACTUALLY: on second thought, Flayra said that NS 2.0 will be able to playback NS 1.04 demos. So wouldn't that mean that NS 2.0 will still have the old entities and weapons coded in?

    But we'll see! When 2.0 wille be out, we'll just have to start a LAN game, enable cheats then give weapon_babblers.

    Well, some people want the lerk bite, some people want babblers, maybe someone will have the time and be willing to put in the effort to create them both for 2.0 some day.
