    When I get it animated. I hate MS3D's animation tools, and I haven't found any goot tutorials for weapon anims in max <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    is project X that close to being done? or are you releasing the hmg from the pack seperatly?

    It's nowhere near complete - the LA marine (which was pretty much finished) is going to be messed up by 2.0's third-person reload anims (my marine has completely new anims, see, so I can't just use the new ones), the LMG is almost complete ... and other than that it's a bunch of half-finished models and concept sketches, since I stopped working on it (lack of motivation - I'm perfectly happy with the model set I have at the moment) to get started on my Oni kharaa pack ... which has also ground to a halt <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    This model isn't totally Project-X, since it's nothing like what I had in mind for the HMG, but it's nice practice and I guess I'll just release it when I get the anims done instead of the point somewhere in the sistant future when I get round to finishing the pack.

    Maus that's some very good work, and I hope you'll release it (maybe let a fellow roobster test it *cough*)

    It's not a tau rifle, but it's definately inspired by it, and she's gorgeous m8 <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't play Tau myself, and I haven't been able to find a weapons diagram explaining all the bits and pieces on the gun.

    Maybe Spawn could have a look in his codex <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Anyways, if you are wondering what I am mumbling about go here:

    <a href='http://www.games-workshop.com/40kuniverse/warhammer40k/tau/Tau_index/Tau_index.htm' target='_blank'>General Tau info</a>
    These two links are from the Games Workshop website:
    <a href='http://www.games-workshop.co.uk' target='_blank'>Games Workshop</a>

    All in all, Maus, great stuff, keep it up, and lemme have it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Finally an image of this highly advanced alien race, so you can see where the idea came from:

    I've been thinking this'll get itself finished an awful lot quicker (and with less risk of be pulling all my hair out) if there are any decent animators out there who fancy doing it for me. Anyone? Bueller?

    whilst we are here, the tau armor would make a great marine model

    Xanieth : You're sorta mixing the two there.

    The markerlights are only Shas'ui & Pathfinders, but the underslung GL (Which is what you quoted) is standard on the Pulse Carbine.

    Dunno if that was intentional or not. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I guess I'm still slowly working on this. After playing a bit of Fire Warrior I decided I'd remake the scopey thing. However, progress on all of my models at the moment is very slow, as it's hard to motivate yourself to model for a game you hardly play.

    Okay, I clearly need a bit of help here. The attached file is the model in max format, with a skeleton constructed and assigned in MS3D and imported to max. It's being a real [female dog] to animate though - I don't seem to be able to do anything but rotate things, and the wrong joints seem to be controlling those rotations. As I have next to no experience of animating in max, is there any chance of someone taking a peek at this and suggesting what's wrong?

    edit: No readme, but this is my work so no stealing, editing, hacking, yada yada ... death of your first born, yada yada.

    I like your model Maus, it's really looking great. The skin looks awesome, but I'm concerned it'll look blurry in game, but that's not the point. I hope you continue finishing this nice piece of work.
