Realizum
<div class="IPBDescription">Why complain?</div>Once upon amidnight driry as i sat there kinda sleepy i saw this complant "man that game sucks you die in one hit!" or
"man you cant hit any thing in that game when your runing!"
why do you ppl complaine about realizum i mean you get shot your gonna die from 1 or 2 bullets, i know not cool in a game but hay so is any one you shot and when you run yes you can shot but hay you try and bust a guy 200 yards away while runing full speed, if you ask me it adds to a game and if ns was a human vs human game i would want it to realistic to. it adds more stratigy it make you care about geting shot and your more carefullyou make more care-full moves. but anyway thats my thoughts lets hear yours

As far as 'realism' goes, I like action-based realism (Action Half-Life, Desert Crisis, Max Payne, etc.) but I personally cannot stand the "tactical" realism games likes CS, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Op Flashpoint, etc.
It all boils down to a matter of personal preference. The thing to remember is just because you don't like a style, doesn't mean it is completely invalid or stupid. i.e. I hate CS's style of play, but I still recognize that many people find it enjoyable, and i respect that. But I still don't play it (or enjoy it).
Not very fun, if you ask me.
I myself like realizm but some games think that good realizm can compensate bad gameplay. That's wrong!
A good game doesn't need realizm. A bad game doesn't help realizm.
Well, I guess I should say that I'd have fun playing any Half-Life mod. Ever tried Canned Tuna or Rocket Crowbar? :D?
Go Fammy!
Yes, Hyperpuck is rather.. is fun the right word for it?. Strange. Its definately VERY strange. But then again it came from my head, so of course it will be.
That said, CS wasn't like that, nor was FA, but I still liked both games. The game that finds a perfect blend between the two will be the game I'll love forever.

Two goals, a puck that rebounds around the arena when shot, players 'sliding' over the ground rather than running and walking, powerups like Tackle, Grav Mine ,and Speed, speedstrips to throw you over to the other side faster, built-in teamplay enhancers (ie, you can't score by yourself, you have to pass the puck at least once)...
Maybe Fam'll let you in a beta session sometime. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

And to get this thin back on topic, CS realism is as far as i go.
