I think you should put it in, it won't affect anyone who is using 2.4 or lower, and it's very useful for hive placement etc...

    I think you mean "3.5". Anyway if you do a search you can find an fgd that does this. Problem is that whenever you compile with it, it will crash if you have a hive, so make sure you remove it once you have everything placed, and then put the original one in.

    I've seen the 2.0 fgd for proofreading, and it supports models.

    Yes, the revised .fgd includes this support with the exception of info_team_start entities.
