<div class="IPBDescription">and not because i'm angry (too much)</div> Pic 1 - a VERY early test room - everything looking fine for now (and yes i know the hives are next to the cc for test purposes)

Pic 2 - erm...RED? hive/comm/res node/ everything is red.
[EDIT] - Picture 2 is a later compile after further additions as you can see the left hand corridor where as in the 1st picture it is non existant
Same compile options used - Batch Compiler
No errors in Log file

Help or useful suggestions plz...many thanxs

I've only used texture lights so far. For both pictures so why has it strted to act funny?
and to repeat THERE IS NO RED LIGHTS (as far as i know)

Were the two pictures taken, more or less, at the same time - just one on aliens and the other on marines? If so that rules out so many possible problems that I don't know what it could be. Even if it's a different build you got some kind of weird elighting going on. The only thing I can think of is: what compile options where you using? were there are errors?

    Lol, this must be Cagey's fault again <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Try some older tools and tell us if the problem persists.

check the whole map for red lights and delete them.
check the whole lights.rad file for textures that give red light, 255 0 0

I think that if any of that was the case, than a little more than just the models would be illuminated red.

    must not.
ive had a green light_environment for the sky sometimes and it made entities green were no green light reached.

Huh? Since you messed with the tools at least two lighting errors occured iirc. I apreciate your work on them, they have become a lot better, but they were never really bug free. So I thought maybe this is just one of these bugs. I really hope you get this new tool set done! Good luck!
Btw.: What would you have done if you encountered such an error? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
    And where is Suicidal?

I might try to see if Ollj's idea about a light_environment pans out. I might also do a search of the verc forums to see if the problem has come up before, since red entities wouldn't necessarily be NS specific.

I'm not really sure what is causing the problem in that screenshot, since entity lighting is supposed to match the light on the floor directly underneath the entity's origin.

It is always amazing to see people destroy valuable test cases that could be used to make games and tools much more bug free...
Then again I am no better <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Can't remember to have sent a buggy map to a dev any time in my life.

I've seen this happen when sv_skycolor_(r,g,b) was messed with - probably not that happening here though...

    Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Sui.

I've had this happen to me in tfc before. Have you got a light_env in your map? If so, take it out and see if it goes.
