Ar piercing gun

<div class="IPBDescription">Ap rounds</div>I think there should be a anti armour type gun, much like a hand held Slug thrower. It would fire explosive rounds at an extremely high velocity, piercing the strongest of hides. I think the Rocket launcher has been largely overused in most FPS's. Just about EVERY FPS currently available has some concievable form of rocket launcher. This would be something different, just what the doctor ordered i think <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    i agree the rocket/nade launcher has been overused and the explosive ap shots could be of use against big aliens (like the level 5) but they should also have some weakness like for example they could fire slower and push u slightly backward momentaraly(mybe 1-2 seconds) stuning you. but it could be an advantege aginst those big aliens. if you hit the alien in a critical area it could couse major damege and the alien might experiance momentary shock(about as long as the marine that fired it) but that would be only if the marine hits at the critical area (usualy the belly) it could also criple an alien if it is hit at the movment apendege.

    I think i slug thrower would be sweet. Maybe they could incorporate it into the game through the shotgun as like a reasearched thing. Slugs could be effective against the bigger things, but less effective against the smaller (?)

    What if it had a very slow rate of fire, and a a 1.5 second charge up for each shot, so you would need to place and time that tanked up super recoil shot well. It would stop Slug ###### And the person on the recieving end will notice the charging up noise giving him some advanced warning.

    And you say a "slugthrower" isn't overused?
    Every fps has a comparable weapon:
    Quake2 has the railgun, so has quake3
    HL has the gaussgun (well it's sort of a slugthrower if you power it up)
    UT has the shockrifle
    and so-on, don't think there's a need for such a weapon, wouldn't hurt though. Besides maybe it's already in the mod, there were gonna be some surprises. Besides who needs a slugthrower when you have the nukegun (if they put it in the mod that is)?

    There's a rocket launcher. It's pretty powerful, but will feature a slow moving round, much like the HL rocket launcher.
